Alabama’s
first TRIAD was established on August 10, 1994 with the signing
of The Tuscaloosa County Cooperative Agreement. Sheriff Sexton also
developed this program along with Lt. Andy Taylor. This agreement
included A.A.R.P., The Sheriff’s Office, Tuscaloosa Police
Department, Northport Police Department and The University Of Alabama
Department Of Public Safety. These agencies are working together
to help alleviate the criminal victimization of seniors and to serve
the special needs of older victims.
