Cpl. Al Jackson and K-9 Atos

Cpl. Al Jackson and K-9 Atos began working together January 30, 1995. They took to each other well and their performance together has been outstanding.

In addition to their in-house training, Cpl. Jackson and Atos have attended additional seminars in the field of police service dog training. Atos is trained as a patrol dog involving apprehension, tracking and explosives detection. 

Cpl. Jackson is also a certified K-9 Instructor for the Sheriff's Office. K-9 Atos was recently reassigned as semi-retired and is living with Sheriff Sexton. Cpl. Jackson is currently training his new partner K-9 Usso. Stay tuned for action photos of them working.
